E.L.I.T.E. Disrupted

I’m late. This week, I’ve been late with everything, and it’s a reminder that sometimes life simply doesn’t go as planned. Normally, I release the podcast at 4 a.m. on Mondays, but this past Monday it didn’t go live until 8 p.m. My Tuesday blog post, usually published at 7 a.m., didn’t make it out until nearly 9 p.m.

I have a structured schedule to keep things on track. During the week prior, I draft next week's blog posts and start jotting down podcast talking points. By the weekend, I finalize blog edits, wrap up the podcast, and schedule everything to post at the right times. Sure, some weeks it’s a scramble, but things usually come together on time without stressing about the exact posting hour. But this past week threw a wrench in my usual flow.

In my corporate job, we were finalizing the 2025 budget with a hard deadline at the end of the week. It was intense, to say the least. While I try to keep a good work-life balance, separating my day job from my personal projects like E.L.I.T.E., this week was different. My manager and I were both working late nights, making sure everything was on track for the deadline.

With that behind me, I hoped to have some time during the weekend for E.L.I.T.E.—but the weekend turned out to be just as packed. I was tied up with a new family business that I’ll share more about in a future blog. This weekend was filled with hands-on, physical work to get everything ready. Between prepping inventory, organizing, and setting up, there was barely a free minute left.

The corporate job took my week, and the family business took my weekend. And with that, my personal passion project, E.L.I.T.E., fell behind. Still, my goal was to get everything posted on the normal days, even if it was late, and I’m proud to say I managed to pull that off.

This week seems like it’s on track to be more balanced, and I’m planning to rest, regroup, and get E.L.I.T.E. back on schedule. To anyone who noticed the late posts, I apologize and thank you for your patience. Here’s to learning, adjusting, and moving forward—striving to stay E.L.I.T.E., no matter how chaotic life gets.
